About PenangKTV

PenangKTV is a small, independent guide to adults-only KTV lounges in Penang. We cover the 18+ private-room lounges of George Town and Pulau Tikus, from late-night rooms near Komtar to quieter spots off Jalan Cantonment. Our aim is simple. When you search for a place to sing, you should find the address, the hours, the likely bill and an honest read on who the place suits, all on one page.

Why we started

Most KTV information in Penang lives in scattered Facebook posts, old forum threads and promo posters. Prices change, outlets close and new rooms open. As a result, it is hard to plan a birthday, a team night or a quiet session with friends without making five phone calls first. So we pulled the facts together and wrote them up in plain English, with Chinese names alongside so you can match them to signs and maps.

How we research

Every venue page starts with the venue's own channels: its Facebook page, Instagram, website or posted price list. Next, we cross-check addresses and hours against map listings, mall directories and recent public reviews. We paraphrase recurring themes from reviews rather than quoting them. Each page shows a "last verified" date, and anything a venue does not publish is marked "Ask the venue". You can read the full method on our editorial and photo policy page.

What we do not do

• We do not accept payment for reviews or scores.
• We do not invent prices, phone numbers or opening hours.
• We do not publish explicit content. Lounges are described factually as 18+ venues that serve alcohol.
• We do not copy text or photos from other review sites.
